Local sports team sponsorship
At Waterhouse Financial Advisers, we take pride in working with and supporting our local sports teams.
We believe sports are vital to our local community. That’s why we are proud to sponsor several local sports clubs, including Midsomer Norton Rugby Football Club, Midsomer Norton Cricket Club, Paulton Rovers Netball and Westfield Football Club.
We are also very excited to be the new sponsor of the Mid Somerset Football League.
The Waterhouse Financial Advisers Mid Somerset Football League
We are proud to be sponsoring The Waterhouse Financial Advisers Mid Somerset Football League. The 2026-27 Season began on Saturday 5th September 2026. The league consists of the Premier Division, First Division and Second Division.
In the Premier Division are Coleford Athletic First, Chilcompton Sports Reserves, Frome Town United First, High Littleton First, Westfield Reserves, Wells City A, Clutton Reserves, Evercreech Rovers First and Timsbury Athletic Reserves.
The First Division features Pilton United First, Odd Down Development (BATH) Team, Peasedown Albion Reserves, Meadow Rangers First, Chew Magna Reserves, Glastonbury Reserves, Pensford FC, Haydon Sports First and Frome Town United Reserves.
Meanwhile, in the Second Division are Writhlington United, Coleford Athletic Reserves, Tunley Athletic Reserves, Chilcompton Sports A, Farrington Gurney First, Westfield Development, Frome Town United A and Pilton United Reserves.
Our team players
But we don’t just sponsor our local teams – we like to get involved.
Many of us are keen sports players ourselves; in fact, most of our staff play amateur sports for local teams.
Elizabeth Dennis plays netball for Paulton Rovers, Sam Knight plays rugby for Midsomer Norton, while Jack Peters plays football for Westfield. What’s more, David Dury is a keen cyclist and triathlete, while Liam Ring enjoys golf and cricket.

Sam Knight: “I still make time for my passion for rugby. I’ve proudly played for Midsomer Norton Rugby Club for nearly 20 years, and you’ll find me wearing the number 9 jersey most Saturdays.”
Jack Peters: “I play football locally for Westfield Football Club and have a passion for all things sport and exercise, having studied in this field at Bath University.”
David Dury: “I’m a passionate cyclist and have competed in triathlons across the UK, enjoying the challenge and the camaraderie of the sport.”
Liam Ring: “If there is any spare time between work and family commitments, you’ll find me on the golf course, playing cricket or at the gym.”
